Students

Law students are an important part of the ALO's operations and are invited to volunteer at the ALO as clinic coordinators. In this capacity, you will obtain practical experience in communicating with clients and lawyers, reviewing intake forms, initiating conflicts check, attending workshops and researching and writing legal materials for use in the ALO’s resource library. Students will be able to sit in on summary advice clinics and ask lawyers questions about the issues discussed after each clinic. Depending on the number of volunteers and clients, students can expect to volunteer approximately 2 to 5 hours of their time each week.

If you are interested in volunteering, please complete and submit the online Student Volunteer Form.
